The main airline of Mexico, Aeromexico, has recently signed an agreement with the main airline of Brazil, TAM, that will allow new flights from Mexico City onwards to various destinations in Brazil.
This “codeshare” arrangement will be for the main route Mexico City to Saõ Paulo, but will also offer connections to cities in both countries. Passengers arriving from Mexico City will be able to connect through to Rio, Brasilia, and a half-dozen other main cities in Brazil. Passengers coming into Mexico City from Saõ Paulo will be able to connect on to cities such as Acapulco, Cancun, and many others.
More importantly for travelers from the U.S. – this will present new opportunities and route options for anyone traveling to Mexico City on Aeromexico desiring to go on to Brazil
